Sensory processing & tricky behaviour – Novita

This workshop examines sensory processing differences and the impact on behaviour using a positive behaviour support framework. We will cover the four functions of behaviour (sensory, escape, attention and tangible) and how tricky behaviour occurs because it meets a child/ student's need. The session will include practical ideas to assist children/ students to have a toolbox of strategies that they can utilise when they need to adjust their energy level thus circumventing tricky behaviour.

Suitable for: Junior primary, primary teachers, secondary teachers & special educators.
